How does EDS Micro Needling work?
Mirco Needling stimulates and enhances your own body repair mechanisms.
After an EDS Micro Needling treatment your skin will start to naturally regenerate and repair itself, working below the surface in the dermis to stimulate new cell growth and collagen production.
At Age Repair, we have combined micro needling treatments with the application of hyaluronic acid and other ingredients to rejuvenate the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is responsible for hydration and volume and when it is placed within the skin, creates a greater lift and rejuvenation and is ideal for areas like the décolletage.
Is EDS Micro Needling painful?
Most people find the procedure a little uncomfortable but not particularly painful and certain areas of the face (usually above the top-lip and around the eyes) can be a bit more sensitive.
A topical anesthetic cream is used to minimize any pain that is experienced during the procedure and the Skin Specialist will be talking to you during the procedure to measure your comfort levels, so that if any area is particularly sensitive, then this area can be avoided.
Are there any after effects to be aware of?
Immediately after your treatment you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover the same day.
How many treatments will I need and how long until I see results?
We recommend a course of 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart. The results following a micro needling treatment can be seen straight any and like with any skin rejuvenation treatments, the more you continue to have the better your skin becomes.
